Cold Weather Workouts Are More Rewarding
As temperatures drop across much of the country people whose exercise routine involves the greats outdoors have become even more challenging. According to a report by NBC News, cold temperatures force muscles to work harder to complete the same task that are easier on warmer weather.
The Cooper Heart Institute says that the cold can strict arteries, slow blood flow to the heart, which require more oxygen to keep your body warm. The report goes on to warn that while people with a heart condition should conscious about exercising outside during the cold weather, healthy hearted people may actually experience an added bonus from cold weather workouts.
